New additions

James office is now in our living room. New Desk. Its black which I don't love, I want all my woods to match, but the colors on the tv stand mixed with the rug, and picture frame tie in all together okay. In the Summer I might try and find something that matches more, or attempt to stain the desk. Either way though, I think it looks alright!

And the CRIB! I really should just post a picture of when the nursery is all done, but who am I kidding? 1. I don't have that kind of patience and 2. I am living this up! After all this is my first baby! So here it is. Our Graco "Lauren" 4 in 1 convertible crib. It converts into a toddler bed, a regular bed, it has a changing table attached, three small dressers drawers and even two side shelves! It took a few hours to put together, but ultimately I felt like it pretty easy to set up as no cuss words were spoken and we weren't ever to confused by the instructions.  I love the pretty white color. At first I was was thinking about going with a expresso color, but as I have mentioned before in just my last picture.. I'm very particular about matching items and white furniture is pretty easy to match! I'm leaving our walls blue, and then Im accenting our little princess's room with pink, and don't worry. I will certainly post more pictures!

We also just bought a bassinet. I did a lot of reading, interviewing, questioning, and taking polls on fb about new born sleeping. I finally opting for getting a bassinet. It's beginning to be a belief of mine that babies are near their mommies for nearly 10 months. They hear their heart beat, her breathing, her voice, and to me it doesn't seem right to leave a baby alone unattended for several hours. I also felt like it would calm a lot of my first time motherly fears, and it would be convent to breast feed during the late hours of the night.  So for the first 2 or 3 months shell be in our room, and take naps in the crib (just so that isn't a hard adjustment when she does convert). I know it's important for newborns to get into a schedule, and I also know that she can't be in our room forever that she needs to learn to sleep on her own, but there is a time and a season for all things and this is what were planning on doing.
