Batman Trilogy

Obviously it's not surprise that more recent movie from the Batman trilogy was success. It was HIGHLY anticipated by not only myself but so many others across the country.  It made 160 million opening weekend and came in 3rd highest grossing falling behind the Avengers, and the latest Harry Potter movie.

First and foremost I want to address that Nolan did remarkable job at the whole series. My favorite part about the movies, is that everything while extremely epic seemed very plausible and the CGI is done in moderation.Nothing that didn't seem out of place or overdone. It feels effortless and like you're not even watching any special effects. The dialogue is good, and I've found many messages and moral in all the films.

With that being said, I enjoyed each film for its own individual reason. Each one brought something new to the intricate masterpiece that was developing right before me.

The first, Batman Begins-I enjoyed the outline and the story. I loved the whole story of him being a child, and how he lost his parents, and the people in his life impacted his decisions and who he was going to be. The characters were great, the writing was excellent and I have the epic music on my ipod :)

The second, Dark Knight- Blows anything I've ever seen out of the water and while I compliment Nolan and his abilities of knowing how to make a film, I can't discredit the actors because, they too, have a special gifts and talents.  Heath Ledger will be remembered for the rest of history for his breath taking performance as the Joker. He not only was rehearsed, and confident, but frighteningly convincing in his role. This film was a bit darker and Ill even admit it was a bit demented and morbid. Under the context though, I thought it was done with taste.  I appreciated that they kept this film pg 13. One it would not be unwise restricting audience for marketing purposes, but also it proves that things can be done with out adding unnecessary blood, guts, gore, profanity, nudity to appeal to a wide variety of people.

The third, Dark Knight Rises- I confess I didn't think this movie would stand a chance in comparison to the other movies, I even doubted some the new actresses/actors that were chosen. *cough cough* -Anne Hathaway. Without giving any spoilers I will say that while the movie had a few down falls, it stood very strong into its own competition and even Miss Hathaway seemed to surprise me. The one thing I didn't enjoy was that the villain in this one wore a mask-and while his destruction had a greater impact on the city, it didn't light a candle on the Joker. He was at a loss because he wore a mask the whole time, and it failed to not see him on a personal level. To see his emotions and to actually know who he was. On that VERY same note-I looooved that the batman was not always in mask, or uniform and we got to know him even better as the person he is. In this one he is much older, weak and alone. We see him with much vulnerability, and he is susceptible to fall,  but of course as the title states he RISES to the occasion. I also loved how they tied everything together. The movie felt a bit rushed especially at the ending, but it was already close to 3 hours so I understand somewhat of the urgency to tie things up, but I didn't mind the way it ended and I think most of the other fans would have to agree :) :) :)

Id also like to mention that at the premier of the movie in Denver, there was a shooting killing and hurting man people. I just want to say that my heart goes out to all those victims, families, friends, and others who were directly and indirectly effected by this crime. Nolan released a statement on the matter. Find the source HERE

Also it has been reported that Christian Bale took the time to go visit the shooting victims at the hospital. Read more about that HERE

Its completley devastating to read and hear that someone would do something so incredibly hateful, but I feel so impressed by those  who risked their own safety for the safety of the ones they love as well all the police officers, media, and other sources who helped and will continue to help during this very hard time of grief for everyone.

I guess super heroes are not just in movies we watch, but are living amongst us.

Anne Hathaway surprised me too. I thought she did a good job.

I think the opposite of Bane. His voice and not seeing his face or knowing why he had the mask on totally freaked me out :P
