I'm the Secretary for Young Women and we all made Personal Progress Pages for the girls to hang up or put in their room to help them work on it. I'm not good at scrapbook pages, but I thought this turned out pretty cute! You laminate the chart board and then you can use a dry eraser to mark what you've done and erase it later. :)

Star much? Ha, this is NOT completed, I'm thinking this needs some ribbon and lace...(will show later) but this above our bed and it will do for now.

I didn't really do much here.. but I think I want to put something on top of that I am thinking blocks with letters that you can say "happy valentines" or whatever. Thats just one thing I have been thinking about doing... What do you think? Any ideas?

This winter has felt soo blah. Not too cold, not snow... and I'm thankful for that.. but its still been grey and depressing... I have purple microfiber couches and so I got some purple flowers and shrubbery to brighten up the place! :)

I bought some blue oven mitts, soap dispensers. dishtowels and flowers to put it all together.

See! I told you... I'm obsessed with stars right now. Haha, but this is probably something I am most proud of. I bought all those items separately at different places, and hung them out to my liking. The stars were a pain to hang up. I bought those blue flowers and I want to get a blue table runner. It would be fun to sew one, but I don't know if i'm brave enough for that one yet! I also really like the frame... I think I might create my own for our office, with the pictures/art/words I want. I think I might even put a border around it.
So anyways. One of my goals was to put something in my house. Well I don't know if these count since most were bought...and not really "created" by myself, but I am giving myself credit for the personal progress page and for effort! James and I want to buy a house soon/someday, and so It would be really fun to think of cute to put in it. Its even more cool and personal when you said you've done that. :) Thats what really makes a house.. a home. Personality and love :)
Also...
*I've been running more and I found some new stretches that have really helped me. This will be good for when I start training for my half.
* I didn't gossip (not that I do anyways) but sometimes I listen more then I should... and this week none of that happened.. and yes the opportunity presented itself.
* And a lady yesterday in the bathroom said a really rude comment to me in the bathroom and was very smug and disgusted when I mentally told myself not to worry about it so I laughed and shrugged it off. She was appalled when her attitude didn't rub off the way she thought it would. Do people really get off and making others feel bad? Hmmm. Well anyways.. I don't judge and my point was not to pick on the lady (who knows! She could have had a bad day!) but... That was big a step for me! My goal this year is to not get down so harshly on myself and the fact that someone else tried to bring me down and I didn't was kinda cool :)
So anyways....I'm off to a good start. I know its only Jan and I don't want to burn out too fast too quickly. I'm not perfect, but at least im trying!

I am SO impressed! :) And I LOVE personal progress! I just got put in as the 2nd counselor in our ward, and started doing my own personal progress goals, and I swear it is WAY more fun as an adult than it was as a YW!!!!
who is this lady? i will punch her in the teeth when I see her. :) kidding. I love all your decorations!
Nice job :)
You're house looks like a home! I like it. But I know what you mean, I wish I had the ambition to decorate my house more/better. Maybe I will get the motivation when it's a house of my own. Good work girl!
Your house looks adorable, love all the new decorations! I'm so proud of you for not letting that rude lady get to you because you are AMAZING!
