Movie Gal.

Are all the summer movies worth the watch? Uhm, No! Hello all! Kira the critic is in, and heres what I have to say about all the summer movies I have seen.

1-Planet of the Apes. -AMAZING, Great graphics, great character development, not too violent, hardly any swear words and no sex! I thought I would hate this movie, but this was by far better then the first... Its not too nerdy either! Doesn't show the monkeys talking too much and go completely over the top! It's realistic, it shows science so it makes you think it could happen. ;)

2-Cowboys and Aliens.-Eh. Its got Daniel Craig and Ford, Speilburg produced it, its got to be good right? Well if you like cheesy films, this one is for you! Very action packed and entertaining. Lots of cool effects. Total popcorn flick, but if your going for a good story , you might want to pass.

3-Harry Potter- It was the best "Potter" film by far! If you have watched the other movies, or read the  books, chances are you will want to see this! They seem to go pretty consistent with the books. Lots of action, good character development, even some pretty scary and intense scenes. Very good climax and good surprises.  It ends well and really ties things together!

4-Crazy Stupid Love- Didn't like. I love the cast, so I thought I would love the show, but it a cheap and less funny version of Date Night. It has a lot of a lot of sexual jokes, and honestly, I should have walked out. This Movie feels very R to me.

5-Captain America-Well I don't have anything that I would really change about this movie, but me being a girl, I found it very guy and dig it much. I did think they did a good job at not going over the top (except with the guy with the red face.. they could have left him with a normal face) and I thought they did a good job and making Captain America and sincerely good guy. My husband liked it, so maybe its more a typical guy movie.

What I learned: Movies are seriously getting ridiculous! Not all the movies are worth going to go see! They add too many special effects and lack in actual story. They put a ton of unnecessary and inappropriate jokes and its uncalled for! Always screen what is in the movie before going to see it. I also learned not to be closed minded. Just because a movie may appear to be "dorky/nerdy/geeky" (such as planet of the apes) You may be surprised that you will find a absolutely wonderful film.

In the end, I am glad we have movies, it really is fun to go for a date, and helps after a long day of work, but I am also grateful for good alternatives! James and I this Saturday plan to go to zoo! Eek!
