Compliments to the Chef.

Something happened today that made me feel really good inside. I guess I should say, someone SAID something that made me feel flattered. It happened at work. This is how the conversation went.

Person: "How well do you take random compliments?"
Me: "Very well." lol
Person:"Well, I just want to say I am married and faithful"
Me: "Okay? I am married and faithful too"
Person:"but you look very pretty today."
Me: "Wow! Thank you! That means a lot, and I won't take that the wrong way."
Person: "You're welcome, and just thought you should know"

Uhm, today I was feeling guilty because I was meaning to go to the gym, but instead slept in and was feeling pretty lousy! WHAT A DIFFERENCE that made in my day! I realized that I do look good, and I am good looking and good human being and just because every now and again I am hard on myself, doesn't mean everyone else has those same thoughts or feelings about me.

Don't get me wrong, I dont want to sound like I am blowing my own horn, I am not. I am sure there is plenty that I could and will improve on. My point being, words mean something, and especially if they are kind. Of course we don't want to sugar coat things just to make people feel good about themselves, but I once heard a talk from church say something about "never suppress a generous thought", and OBVIOUSLY there is truth in it. If we feel we should say/do something kind towards someone... Do it! Even just saying you look good.Maybe it was superficial, but it still helped my day.

So today, Look for a opportunity, and compliment them. Who knows? You might find a new friend.

Just want to say thank you stranger for your "random compliment" and Thank you for being faithful to your wife.

I hope I too can be someones light like you were to me today.
