Another year has come and gone! I can't believe we've been married for 6yrs. (Been together for 8). As I'm sure you can tell, we went to the zoo to celebrate our 6yr Ann. (We will be going to St G later next month) James surprised me with Jewelry, and Chocolate! Every year I think it's just going to be a regular day, and each year he surprises me and lets me know it's special. That day we also went to Blue Iguana for Dinner, and we went to the Lindsey Stirling Concert at the Conference Center. It was a great day and much needed date night!
If theres a couple of things I've learned in our journey it's to pick your battles. Most things aren't worth fighting over. Another would be always compliment your spouse. Going along those same lines try not to criticize. Listen to your partner, take time to do things that are important to them, never stop dating, or holding each others hands.
Our marriage isn't perfect, but it's a work in progress. A friend once told me "Marriage is not always Peaches and Cream. Sometimes it can be pretty dang good, but you still have to grow the tree that grows the peaches, and milk the cow with the cream."
Oh how true it is! Any relationship that's worth it will take time, effort, work love and nourishment. 6yrs has flown by us and eternity doesn't seem long enough! I love you babe!
