We are not alone.

Co-bedding.
I learned a medical term yesterday. Co-bedding. The term is pretty self explanatory and obvious. It's when two or more people share the same bed.

Now before I get  reprimanded for suggesting something that could be potentially dangerous and and even very unhealthy. I'm not encouraging parents or siblings to sleep together in their homes especially during infancy.  ( I repeat DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME)

However, research suggests that when babies (generally twins) are in the NICU, it can be a common practice to try co-bedding. Evidence shows that twins gain weight more quickly, have less apnea, and are less irritable when they share a crib.

This fascinates me! How just the presence of one person can enhance another's physical and mental well being. Isn't that just so cool? Now I know some reading this post may be skeptical of the science and the proof behind this. I know the door can swing both ways.  Studies have ALSO shown that family can be one of the main causes for stress. Sad, but true. Though, thats why I think it applies even more so. I think that life is what you make of it. No family or person is perfect, and thats why we are put here together. To teach each other, and while it may be stressful for a little while-we can learn to live in harmony.

It's another testament that we are not alone in this world, NOR should we be. We are here together, and we can impact it greatly by the people we see every day. You never know who you can touch or inspire.
