These were taken a while ago.. (obviously the grass is not that green in the mid of February even if it has a been a mild winter) I don't think that big tall palm tree is there anymore.
The green railing HAS to go, but thats super easy fix. We actually want to get a nice oak wood one.
The kitchen is small, but that black fridge is taking up a lot of room, we will probably sell it. Interested? and while it is small it comes with one thing that I have dreamed of for a while....*drum roll* please. A dishwasher!
It has a fenced yard. These are just the pictures they have listed on the website. Ill be sure to post some of my own at a later date.
James and I didn't really like the idea of condo. We want our OWN house not connected to anyone else. However the cost was SOOOO cheap and I don't want to be closed minded. It could be a possible great opportunity! After all what could it hurt?
So we went took a looksy at the place. It has a yard (fenced), a kitchen, two bed rooms, and one and a half bathrooms. All the walls, carpets, and tile are in good condition. Something that has been pretty important to us when we have been looking for houses. They only have this green railing that would need to be painted or replaced (but thats about it) and thats not expensive to fix. They even have a little crawl space where we would put the kitties to sleep at night time ;) Which James and I have discussed about getting once we actually are "home owners" .
We walked out surprised and happy. James and I really like it. We started thinking about it and we realized that James still has a bit of ways to go with school (hell get his associates this year) and we want to start a family soon after that. If we wait until he is done with school all the way, that will be quite a bit longer! After all, we've been married 5 years already. We don't want the mortgage to be super high if I stay at home, or go part time when we do become of a family of three. (I'm not saying were trying right now in fact if you must know we are not not, so please don't ask...We are just trying to get things in order for that to happen.)
SOOO anyways This specific home would be only a hundred dollars more then what we are paying now for rent, and it would be going towards something AAANND even though its a small place, its still bigger then the other. That would be doable and wouldn't hurt us as bad if for some reason we did get pregnant.
We probably only want to stay there for 5 or so years. Give or take depending on how things pan out. This way we can gain equity, and then when we decide its time to move we can either sell it.. or rent it out. And by that time James will done with school (completely) he should be making more money and we will be able afford our a nicer/bigger home for a expanding family.
It's not what I had originally had in mind, when looking for a house.. Its def not my DREAM home. I really was hoping we could find something we could grow into, but as always I'm finding that I need to be patient and trust in the Lord and listen to what he has in mind for us because he knows better then I do. At this point it feels right.. and I'm okay with that.
That being said... Just because its not my dream home, doesn't mean I'm not content or happy with what we found. Its perfect for our circumstances, and it really does LOOK and feel comfortable for our wants and needs. I feel truly blessed and watched over
Yesterday(Feb 22) we took James parents to the condo to see what they thought. THEY WERE ENTHUSIASTIC and strongly encouraged us to buy it. It is a great investment.
The loan takes around 30 days. Then its on to moving in!
