My Awakening.

I have been thinking about life recently.. and how precious it is. Most of you know that My dad passed away a few years back. That was very hard on me, but it shaped me into the person I am now. I miss my dad a lot, but I know I will see him again.

I also know that life is a very short journey. My brother KC has Mytonic Dystrophy and My Mom many years was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Both of them mean so much to me, and I have been thinking a lot about them lately. My Mom has really struggled over the last few years, but it seems this year has been the hardest. I think I have kind of been naive about how much this illness is a part of her life and how strong but yet very fragile she really is.

So I decided to go see my family on Sunday. Time should not be wasted. I may have a lot of time, I may not, but since She would talking in church this was a perfect opportunity to listen to her and to come support and show my love. She spoke on gratitude.  I cried a little. You see.. I have a very special family. (I know thats what everyone says... but I really do) I am a mortal who was put in a family of Angels. While I was in church, My siblings (Kc and Kyler) were passing notes. You want to know what the notes said? Something like this "Dear KC, I love you very much, you are such a good Brother" and then Kc would reply back "I love you too Kyler, you mean the world to me". Thats pretty amazing. For 1 -to show that kind of love towards a sibling is pretty rare but for 2- I would expect this of maybe a young child or even a girl, but this was a note between my two brothers ages 15 and 19. That is something pure and innocent and angelic. My Mom and My brothers have always been this way. Always, and even though I am the "big sister" I have a lot to learn from them. I am truly inspired and humbled each day by there example to *ME*.

As my Mom got up and talked about Gratitude, my heart was over flowing with Gratitude myself. Truly I was put into a wonderful family, and I am so grateful for them.

Family is everything... That is all that really matters. I love you Mom and Im proud of you! I love you Cliff, I love you KC, I love you Taylor, I love you Timmy, I love you Kyler I love you Shareen, I love you Larissa,  and I love you James.

Thanks for making me cry Kira, you're in trouble.

You are just as sweet as your family. But what great examples they are.
